[=[Why don't you see my ραѕт?]=]
My past.. Sparrowflight, a WindClan Queen, gave birth to two kits, a tom named Tempestkit, and a she-kit named Pearlkit. Tempestkit, named for the storm the moors experienced the night they were born, and Pearlkit for her creamy white fur. Sparrowflight was under constant questioning by the Clan- she refused to tell who their father is. In fact, she still does. Not even her kits know. Pearlkit and Tempestkit grew up, both leading rather uneventful kithoods, despite them being teased by other kits about possibly being the kits of a kittypet, loner or rogue. Tempestkit always fought back, but Pearlkit preferred not to. Pearlkit was rather intrigued by the scent of herbs from the Medicine Cat's den and hung out by the entrance often, usually to shy to go in. Swiftstar and Shroudwhisker noted this interest, and spoke to Northpointe about taking up a new apprentice since Sweetbriar, the former medicine cat apprentice, had died. Reluctantly, since she knew she needed one, Northpoint agreed and the ceremony was called for Tempestkit and Pearlkit. Pearlkit received her apprentice name and is now the medicine cat apprentice. My family.. Father -- Unknown Sparrowflight -- WindClan Warrior Tempestpaw --- WindClan Apprentice Who I am.. Pearlpaw is probably the shyest cat in all of WindClan. She is socially awkward- she doesn't really know how to present herself. When she does eventually open up a bit and talk, her voice is small, quiet, and rather cute. She is VERY intelligent- she practically has an eidetic memory and can remember anything said to her. She's a bit hesitant, though, when cats come to her rather than Northpointe, seeing as her mentor is an amazing medicine cat. This causes Pearlpaw to be a bit anxious sometimes, but she can usually get over it. She is very patient and understanding, and will listen to cats who just need someone to talk to. Pearlpaw has learned enough fighting moves from Tempestpaw in case if she never needed to use them, but she would prefer not to. She chose the path of peace, devoted to StarClan, and would like to keep it that way. Picture of me.. see header, but for normal, non photoshopped stuff, here and here. [Short physical description] (lulz personal Shanny reference D| -brick'd) "Beautiful dilute calico she-cat with green eyes" My likes..Her mother, brother, and Northpointe StarClan (she is a devout believer) Collecting herbs (she likes the smells) Rabbits (yum~) My dislikes..Fish (she thinks they look slimy) Smell of opposing clans Cats who don't believe in StarClan Overly chatty cats My lover is.. can't have one! Unless you enjoy plotness, but Pearlpaw is one of those she-cats who would be completely oblivious. - - - - -
[/[Everything єℓѕє?]/] A minute in my life..
[[As Oceanstar from Element]]
The marsh grass rustled.
Perhaps it was the wind, perhaps it was the prey, or perhaps it was a cat. The grass swayed for all of these reasons, as it forever would, but today it was shifting and sighing because a calico she-cat was trodding through the deep muck of the marsh. Her white paws sank into the ground with every step, sometimes making a tiny squelching noise as she pulled them out. Oceanstar winced, she never really liked that sound, it was a tad disgusting. However, she did like the earthy smell of the marsh... the scent was not present at the river.
Being SapphireClan leader, she expected her life to be somewhat hectic all the time. Lately, though, that was not the case. It was... exceptionally mundane. No kits old enough to be apprentices and none of the apprentices were close to completing her training. Oceanstar was seriously thinking about taking one up herself, just to have something to do besides patrol and hunt. While those duties were fun, it had been the same old same old for a couple moons. The prey was plentiful, and there were no arguments over border markings. She was certainly not asking for the latter, but all the Clans seemed eerily calm and at peace with each other. Oceanstar shook her head- she wanted peace, she wanted no more meaningless fights to be fought. Still... she couldn't help but wonder if someone, anyone, was planning something.
Well, she did think someone was possibly planning something.
Oceanstar couldn't believe how distant Falconblaze was from her, they never talked, and he usually... glared at her. Was he mad? Jealous, even? She knew her brother though, he wouldn't go as far as to do anything to her, they had made a pact back when Stormclaw was alive to prevent meaningless fights. Maybe... Oceanstar thought, maybe to him, power isn't so meaningless. Oceanstar would have further mused on the subject if it had not been for the fact she got one of her paws stuck in the ground slightly and yanked it out, and she let out a hiss as she felt a muscle pull in her shoulder. The many colored she-cat gingerly set her paw on the ground, her shoulder hurt a tad more than her leg. Not much of a limp was visible. Good. She never liked looking weak.
Hearing the grass rustling due to the body of another, Oceanstar's ears twitched. Prey? An intruder? She crouched low to the ground and slinked forward, not too slow but not quickly either. Her concentration showing deep blue eyes faded when she realized it was Rainfall.
Oceanstar never understood why her Medicine Cat was so gloomy. His eyes were always so clouded too... with thought, as if his mind were elsewhere. While she believed he was very focused on his duties, it was quite obvious something, (someone, perhaps?) was bothering him and he couldn't help but think about it.
She noticed he always looked away from her in a guilty manner whenever she addressed him. Oceanstar didn't understand- they had grown up together, was was there for him to be guilty of? She sat in the tall grass quietly and pondered before revealing herself when it came to her.
Oh.
Did he blame himself for the deaths in his Clan? The cats of StarClan that walked in her dreams occasionally, the ones that gave her nine lives? Oceanstar had to refrain from letting out a snort and revealing her presence. While in truth she was mad shortly after the death of her parents and Cloudstar, there was nothing that could be done. With Stormclaw, though, she knew Rainfall worked so hard to stop the greencough from spreading through the entire clan. She couldn't blame him. Deaths were to be expected in that sort of situation, and it just happened to be her brother that died.
Certainly he couldn't blame himself for Reedstar and Dustwhisker, both lived to be quite old. If he did, though, his ever present gloomy attitude made quite a bit of sense.
Watching Rainfall stare at his juniper berries, Oceanstar put on her usual grin and padded out to meet him. "I'm sure none of them will grow heads or catch fire, despite how long you stare at them." She mrrowed with a light chuckle. Whats the password? chocolate!
